In Alaska, single dad Beef Tobin does his best to keep his close-knit but unusual family together through everyday adventures. As his kids grow in their own directions, he works especially hard to stay connected to his only daughter, whose artistic dreams pull her away from the family fishing boat and toward the more glamorous world of the local mall.
