After a recent personal tragedy, a woman chooses to leave her old life behind and set out alone on the Pacific Crest Trail. Her plan is simple but daunting: hike more than 1,000 miles by herself, using the long, difficult route as a chance to face her past and begin again. As each mile carries her farther from what she has lost, the journey becomes a test of endurance and a search for recovery.
