The Sweet East

Lillian, a high school senior from South Carolina, gets her first glimpse of the wider world during a class trip to Washington, D.C. From there, she moves through the cities and woods of the Eastern seaboard on a picaresque journey through contemporary America, encountering strange sects and cults through a series of gatekeepers eager to win her over.
