The Long, Hot Summer

Ben Quick, an accused barn burner and conman, arrives in a small Mississippi town looking for a place to land. It does not take long for him to draw attention and find his way into the orbit of the Varners, the town’s richest family. As Ben steadily ingratiates himself with them, his reputation and his ambitions begin to shape his place in their world.
