The Contestant

This documentary tells the true story of a Japanese reality TV contestant who spends 15 months alone in a small room, naked and cut off from the outside world. To survive, he must fill out magazine sweepstakes in the hope of winning food and clothing, unaware that his isolation and daily struggle are being broadcast on national television to millions of viewers each week.
