The Beguiled

During the American Civil War, a wounded Union soldier unexpectedly arrives at a Southern girls’ boarding school in Virginia. The young women take him in, offering refuge and tending to his injuries despite his place as the enemy. As his presence unsettles the isolated house, desire, jealousy, and rivalry begin to grow, pushing the school’s fragile order toward betrayal and a dangerous breach of taboos.
