Take the Lead

A former professional dancer volunteers in the New York public school system, offering to supervise detention by teaching ballroom dancing to a group of misfit students. His classical approach initially clashes with their own tastes, but as he challenges their insecurities and prejudices, teacher and students begin blending their worlds into a new dance style and prepare for a competition.
