Lonely teenager Jody finds an unlikely partner in Hannah, a track coach trying to move past disgrace. Over the course of one summer, the two train together with their sights set on the Pinnacle Games, the biggest track-and-field competition on the East Coast. As preparation pushes them forward, their shared goal gives both coach and athlete a reason to keep running.
