Special Unit

Under the Fairness in Disabilities Act, the Van Nuys Police Department is required to bring four disabled recruits onto the force as undercover detectives. Their introduction to police work is complicated by the officer assigned to train them: a cop widely regarded as the worst in Los Angeles. As the new unit takes shape, the department must adjust to an unlikely team and an even more unlikely mentor.
