In Austria, a team of researchers searches an old farmhouse for Nazi documents and uncovers something far darker hidden beneath it. American expatriate Gunner S. Holbrook grows increasingly fixated on the discovery, following the mystery deeper as his hold on reality begins to weaken. As an evil force closes in, he struggles to understand what has been unearthed and to save himself.
