Feeling left behind as her friends settle into more adult lives, Milo is searching for direction when she makes an impulsive decision: to become a surrogate and egg donor for an older gay man she meets at a bar. As the pregnancy moves forward, her bond with him grows more complicated, and Milo begins to use her role in his future as a way to stay close.
