Mary and Max

In 1976, Mary is a lonely eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne. When she begins writing to Max, a severely obese forty-four-year-old man in New York with Asperger’s syndrome, an unlikely correspondence takes shape. Across distance and difference, their letters form the basis of a friendship neither of them expected.
