In 1995 Manhattan, a teenager lives with her sister and their parents as ordinary family life takes an unsettling turn. When she discovers that her father is having an affair, the knowledge changes how she sees him and the household around her. Set in the 1990s, the story follows a family forced to confront a private secret from the viewpoint of the daughter who uncovers it.
