In the vast, remote forests where they live, adolescent brothers Tommy and Eric are shaken by a neighborhood tragedy and the death of their friend. As the world around them begins to feel both immense and suffocating, the boys face shifting relationships, the mystery of nature, and a new awareness of their own mortality, while Eric struggles to understand what to do with the energy building inside him.
