Dr. Ryan Stone, an engineer on her first space mission, is spacewalking with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski on his final expedition when debris strikes their shuttle. With the mission suddenly thrown into crisis, the two astronauts must face the dangers of space and fight to survive far from Earth.
