After learning he has a fatal brain tumor, a single father decides to make the most of the time he has left with his teenage daughter. He takes her on a road trip from California to New Orleans for his 20th college reunion, hoping to pass on what she may need for the years ahead while quietly planning a possible reunion with the mother who left them long ago.
