At the lowest point in his life, Richie receives an unexpected call from his estranged sister, who asks him to pick up and look after his 11-year-old niece, Sophia, for a few hours. What starts as a reluctant family favor becomes a nighttime trip through New York City, as Richie and Sophia spend uneasy time together and begin to form an unexpected bond.
